When it debuted in ’93, the initial Honda Passport was built in partnership with Isuzu Motors. The first Passport was a fine SUV, but it was replaced by the Pilot in ’02. The name was unused up until the 3rd Gen Passport was revealed at the LA Auto Show in ’18. We understand that U.S. consumers want SUVs and we wanted an SUV that was larger and more capable than the CR-V yet not quite as big as the Pilot. The 2019 Honda Passport is our mid-sized SUV that is bigger than you realize. Let’s have a look at the brand-new, 2019 Passport.
The thing you may observe is that the brand-new Honda Passport looks really comparable to the Pilot. Actually, it’s not simply the looks, as the Pilot and Passport share numerous parts, the first of which is the engine. The Passport is powered by a 3.5L 24-Valve i-VTEC V6 that creates 280hp and 262 lb-ft. Torque. The 2019 Passport is powerful and efficient.
The 2019 Passport has been designed for the buyer that is adventure-oriented. It includes more ground clearance than the Pilot, standard 20-inch wheels, LED low-beam headlights, LED fog lights, LED brake lights, and seating for five. Rain-sensing wipers, Hands-Free Power Tailgate, and Parking Sensors are just a few of the optional features on the ’19 Honda Passport. Slide inside the rugged Passport and you’ll discover optional items like an 8-inch touchscreen stereo, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, perforated, warmed and cooled front seating, and a cordless phone charging functionality. The 2019 Honda Passport is both sturdy and comfy.
The new Passport is loaded with technology ranging from comfort items like mobile hotspot ability, ambient LED lights, and Navigation with Voice Recognition to the excellent Honda Sensing Suite of safety innovations. Honda Sensing is set up on every ’19 Honda Passport and has technology like Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. The only real upgradeable driver-assist technology is the Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Monitor. I’ve now had several experiences with Gallatin Honda, and unfortunately the pattern has been consistently negative. My most recent visit confirmed what my family and I have felt before: the customer service and atmosphere are not welcoming.

It genuinely felt like we were being watched rather than welcomed.
This wasn’t my first concerning experience here. I accompanied a friend who was pressured to buy a car he had already said he wasn’t ready for. A salesperson told him, “You’re a big boy, time to start making big boy purchases,” which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Another time, my sister found a car online with a listed discount, but when we arrived, the dealership refused to honor the price advertised on their own website. They even suggested my grandmother was “getting upset,” which felt dismissive and unnecessary.
The atmosphere felt tense, and none of us felt welcomed or acknowledged. It was disappointing, especially compared to other dealerships where the customer service was warm and attentive. I’m sharing this in hopes that the dealership can improve the experience for future customers.
I had my vehicle serviced on 10/30/25 by Robert Brady Holt: He was exceptional! Nr. Holt went over everything with me that had been done on my vehicle and what to expect next time. I will definitely be back! Happy customer 😀
Anna and the crew have been awesome. Unfortunately today is her last. The other guys are also great. The parts department is also stellar.
We recently bought a 2022 Honda Pilot from this dealer. Our experience was wonderful especially compared to our experience with the Toyota dealer. The sales people at Gallatin Honda were patient and professional. They bent over backwards to provide for us a very good deal. We are very satisfied and would recommend them to everyone.
This location has a wonderful service department. Everyone is nice and helpful. They will take good care of you and your vehicle.
